Australia:
- Residential home-building momentum is generally improving slightly across most regions.
- Cost inflation is overall easing, but there are still some pressure points remaining due to supply and demand in regional areas.
- Renewable energy and energy-efficient upgrades are on the rise.
- Labour gaps and supply constraints remain.
New Zealand:
- The market is showing some early signs of stabilisation.
- Mortgage rates are coming down, which is lifting confidence.
- Renovations are outperforming new home builds.
- Discretionary spending on new homes is still soft.
- There is an elevated inventory of homes for sale in some of the regions.
United States:
- Remodel spending is strongest at the moment, primarily due to the age of homes in the United States.
- Custom home building is slightly better than what we've had in the past, but there is still a lot of uncertainty around it.
- A lot of homeowners in the U.S. are now moving towards remodelling their homes rather than moving.
- Lower mortgage rates are supporting demand; however, tariffs and inflation are keeping budgets tight, and builders are still using incentives to get contracts across the line.
- Lead flow quality is improving slowly.
Canada:
- Profitability pressure from softening demand.
- Remodelling spending is stabilising and is starting to rebound.
- Net-zero and wellness-focused homes are gaining a lot of traction.
- Affordability challenges and labour shortages persist.
- Market split between high-efficiency demand and tight traditional segments.
